Tom Burtzlaff, President of CMIT Solutions of Columbia, has been elected chair of MakingChange, a local nonprofit that develops and delivers financial education programs.
Joanne Davis, partner with Synergies Consulting Group, is the Immediate Past Chair. Other officers are Dara Knobel, Vice Chair, Operations; Diane McCloskey, Vice Chair, Treasurer; and Makr Stinson, Vice Chair, Secretary. Knobel is Senior Manager, Talent Management for Exelon Corporation. McCloskey is Chief Financial Officer for Allen & Shariff. Stinson is Senior Advisor with FAI Wealth Management.
MakingChange provides group seminars and personal coaching to teach people to manage their money and change their lives. Its programs are offered in schools, human service agencies and businesses. It currently hosts seminars attended by approximately 350 people per year and meets with approximately 65 clients for personal financial coaching.
